What is your favorite figure and why?
Mine is Levana & Barak although Priscilla is a close second (see next post!). This was the Limited Edition for 2001. That is the year I had our son, Justin, was born, so the figure symbolizes his birth. It is very special to me and I always put the figure in a special place (near the nativity) each year. I even love taking it out of the box as I remember all the wonderful times since 2001!! Now that he is a "teenager" though, I certainly need to remember my "baby" as he strives to exert his independence and autonomy! LOL
I am sure you that have been through this with your own can relate!!
This is from a number if year's ago of the figure in our display:

Okay - Second favorite - Priscilla. In 2000, when I found out I was pregnant, after two years of trying, I decided that giving my husband the Priscilla figure during a special dinner out would be the prefect way to tell him that we were finely going to have a little one. Well, it seemed to me like a perfect way to tell him the great news!! LOL! When he opened the gift bag and saw the figure, he was perplexed. (Fontanini is my thing?) Anyway, he looked at the figure and said "hey, she has a gray cat" - we had a gray cat. I said "no, it is something else" He was clearly perplexed so he looked again to the figure, turned her sideways and the suddenly, he got it!! He looked at me and said, "Really?" I said "yes - we are pregnant". It was a cool way to tell him about it which resulted in our son, Justin, who has done his own nativity display over the years!! (although at almost 13, he is suddenly "too cool" for a display (unless of course a young lady thinks is in"neat" he does so!!!!) LOL!!!

What a neat story. Very romantic. I can't choose just one either. My favorite pieces are Aaron, from the Signature series, and Joshua. They were my first 2 pieces, even before the Holy Family, and those are the names of my 2 boys. Joshua was 13 and Aaron only 10 when I bought them. They are both grown and on their own but they ask every year if "their" pieces are set up. Joshua lives local so he gets to check it out every year but Aaron is in the army and hasn't been home for Christmas for 14 years.
