Hello. My name is Kenneth, and I have a wonderful wife and 3 kids. 2 stepsons age 19 and 14 and my little princess who will soon be 5. My Fontanini story starts not too long ago. I collected the dept 56 dickens village from 1995 to about 2004. Had a pretty large collection of around 150 houses and more accessories. I enjoyed it but felt like it was more work than fun to set up. Shortly after meeting my wife I thought we should have a nice nativity. I didn't know much of different brands but I came across a small collection on Craig's list no less. This was in 2009, someone was selling the marketplace and bakery with quite a few figures for really cheap. I bit and when I opened up my box, I couldn't stop looking at the amazing sculpts on the figures as well as the detail on the buildings. I went crazy and sold my entire dickens village and bought a ton of fontanini. I've amassed quite a collection and I'm still searching and learning about this amazing collection. I look forward to sharing ideas and chatting with everyone on here.

Craig's List... that's awesome. I glad we have this "Introduction Area" of the forum. It's really neat hearing the different stories which brought everyone to a common interest... which otherwise would never have crossed paths. Welcome aboard Kenneth.
