Here is the history of the Blue Mara, the Fontanini Members Only "mistake" figurine for 1996

Prior to the official release of the Members Only Mara figure for 1996, dealers were sent a preview figurine for display. It was later learned that these preview issues which had a blue coloration were suppose to have been pink, so the Blue Mara's were recalled. The correct Pink Mara's were eventually issued as the Member's only edition for 1996. However, as might be expected, not all of the Blue Mara's were returned. Thus, the " Members Only" Blue Mara is truly a rare find.

- The Member's Only Pink Mara was retired in 1997

The pic is still on our camera. My husband is going to take the pics off soon so I will post it then.

The other two I got on Ebay years ago and they did not come with boxes.

I decided I did not want two pieces that were essentially identical. I don't recall if I gave the Blue Mara away or sold it to another member of the "Fontanini Fanatics" back in the 90s.

The picture showed a pink Mara. When it arrived today, it is the BLUE MARA!!!!
